  • Remote bilge alarm

I've recently purchased a Cheoy Lee launch that is being kept on a swing mooring. I had heard of a GPS type device but with a SIM phone card in it that you can connect to monitor you boat - bilge alarm/geo fence etc. Does anyone know where I can get one, or who makes them ? Are they effective ?

Dont know much about them but i heard of BlueRay Marine security system.

-send an instant detailed text message to up to 6 mobile phones and can call a land phone number when a warning event or alarm is detected
-monitor your boat's bilge pumps and shore power, sending warning messages
    BlueRay Marine

Thanks nuckinfutz. I checked it out, bit more than I want to spend but it looks good. I found one at http://www.smart-azz.com for $280 so I've ordered one.

Spoke to the guys there, it connects to the bilge alarm the same as the Blue Ray, but the security package is not included. They recommended I use a series of magnetic switches in series to one of the other inputs, and a motion detector. Its got the GPS and geo fence setup, and I'm going to hook it straight to the bilge alarm.

Will post the results !! Can't wait to see it.
