On your site it says patent pending so are you still able to get the two together with the dovetail.Castaways dovetail connection (patent pending) is used to firmly secure two (2) individual HALF boats (6 feet each) to form a single FULL boat 12 feet in length

Yes, not alot has changed. we first had a male and female configuration but we were having problems getting the male ends out of the mold . we went to two female ends and added the two seperate dovatails. So, yes you can make the 2 6 foot boats into 1 12 foot boat.
